Are the diagnostic codes the same on a 1998 mercury mountaineer as they are on a ford explorer? I am considering a 1998 mercury mountaineer but the check engine light is on and i want to diagnose it before i buy it.nI found the list of obd2 codes on this forum, i just wonder if they read the same on a mercury mountaineer. Any help please...
