I have a big prob. The original radio from my 91 Explorer XLT 4 Drs was stolen.

The power harnes and the Amplifer plug was cut out, so I just can see a bunch of wires.

Today I get a Turbowire auto stereo wire harness in Best Buy but the colors are diferent.

Can some one help me to identify them.

I see one set of 7 wires...One is for power and the black for ground..but what do i have to connect to the CD-Radio deck..

Orange-black
Red
Green-yellow
Blue-Red
Blue
Yellow-Black
Black

And a fat one with 8 inside...
Green
White-Green
Light Blue
Blue-black
White-orange
Yellow
Brown
Violet-white

I just got a cheap stereo to test if I can install a new CD deck ..

When I conect orange to the CD-radio Deck power, black to black wires and plug the antena, the deck works .. but have no sound in the doors speakers.
even if I try diferent convinations.

Im sure that the CD-Radio works because when I conect directly to one speake I have sound.

Hope I dont have to re wire all the speakers from all 4 doors .. Or do I have to doit..

Thanks for your help and sorry about my poor English

Regards
Ed

I only have a list of the speakers but it might help.

Audio system wiring
Signal input:
Right rear - blue
Right rear + violet/white
Right front - brown
Right front + white/red
Left rear - yellow
Left rear + blue/black
Left front - white/orange
Left front + light green

These are for a 98 model so don't match exactly.
To pin them down take off the door panels and use a continuity tester.
