power and better mileage

Hi ther e..my first posting...I have a2004 Explorer Limited 4.6 V8....what's everyone's thoughts of installing dual exhaust, K&N filters or such upgrades to increase HP and increase fuel mileage....all ideas appreciated

what do you think about changing to a K&N filter system vs OEM, or possibly just installing a K&N filter or is it all a waste of money, ansd secondly what are your thoughts about running full synthetic oil, in the crankcase or in the transmission...I have a 2004 4.6 V8 in my Exp.....thanks
