power antenna installation

I did a search on power antenna and couldn't find a mention as to how to get to the antenna. I would guess I would have to go through the wheel well.... Does anyone have any pics or tips on how to get to it and does anyone know where I can pick up an antenna. I have a power antenna now that died and just stays up, I was thinking to get a manual one. Thanks

I busted off my power antenna just a few days ago. I was told by my Ford dealership that you have to take the passenger side fender off to get to the antenna motor, which is very bad designing if you ask me.

P.S. - My Ford dealership quoted me $180 to fix JUST the mast, that includes parts and labor.

yeah, I went to a local place and that is about what they wanted to charge me to replace it. I think I am going to put a manual one on just in case I get lazy I can take it to a carwash. They only wanted $75 for the manual installed.
