My '03 Mountaineer has a power driver's seat. It's handy since my wife is a good bit shorter than I. It regularly blows fuses. I don't think it's the seat itself. I pulled the seat and checked for anything amiss, bare wires, burnt spots, a loose or damaged connector... Nothing. It's never blown the fuse while I'm adjusting the seat. The fuse may be in there for several weeks or it may be blown the first time I try to move the seat. No logic. Anyone else had a problem like this?

My 00 did this for years. Now the seat has stopped working completely. Even swapped a working seat for mine, still doesn't work! Auto electrician thinks it may be the DSM. Still struggling!

I've repaired a broken wire under drivers seat. Also, repaired several 12 awg wires in door hinge for seat movement issue. If you find broken wires at hinge, add section of wire so it's not the short one in the bundle.
