anyone know of any common problem for leaking power steering fluid?

Don't know how common it is, but with mine, the shaft seal (behind the pully) leaked. Since I also noticed a slight wobble in the shaft when I moved the pulley up and down, as well as occasional growling noise, I decided to simply replace the pump with one from a local junkyard. Has worked perfectly ever since.

I have had the steering box output shaft seal leak as well as the high pressure line out of the pump leak. I replaced the seal myself and then replaced the hose with a new one and that fixed the leaks. This was on my 91.

It's the lines to or from it, or the seals in it. Grab a flashlight and hoist 'er up to see where it seems to come from. At the age of the vehicle it could be any of these...
