i got the power steerin pump hooked up, well all the lines plumbed correctly and it squels teribbly. the belt is tight and it has fluid. and when i rev it up it almost sounds like my motor has pete jackson gear drive... the pump is old, yes, but seems to be in workin order, considering that it will turn the wheels, but it squels whenever you do turn it... any anwsers would be greatly appreciated

air in the lines. I'm not exactly sure how to bleed them on this system, but I would suspect a bleeder screw somewhere.

this pump is OLD... its like the size of an altenator, and very basic, no bleeder screw... i even ran the truck a while with the dipstick out of the pump and cranked the wheel from side to side, still does it
