Hi all, I started the tear down to replace the timing chains on my '03 Aviator. I thought I'd post here because I found a lot of helpful information here.
I ran into a bit of a brick wall when I started the timing job. Do you need to remove the power steering pump to get the timing cover off? The bolts are impossible to get to on this vehicle and I ended up rounding off the one on the bracket. Does this one hold the power steering pump in also? Everyone says there are four bolts on the pump but I can only see three, the two ones in this picture and one behind the line.
Does that bolt still need to come out to get the timing cover off? Or can I just cut off the bracket?
Any worthwhile tricks for getting that bolt out?
Also does anyone know what puller kit will work on this pulley?
