Power steering recalls

I called to Ford Motor Company customer service to find out if the last owner had it fix and they told me. Try wouldn't know, and I asked if the dealership I purchased my 2016 Ford Explorer from would have it done before I brought it. Then she said if it was a recall on power steering repair Ford Motor don't have every VIN number for the recalls. I have to call or go on www.nhtsa.gov to report it for future recalls. I got the issue now, there's no area to see the power steering to add any power steering in, and a automatic at a dealership service have to do it.

I find your post a little difficult to read. Your Ford dealership should be able to check the VIN and tell you if the recall was done.

Long story short, my power steering went out while in WV, I live in Cincinnati. The dealership had the car for 2 weeks. I had a rental car for that 2 weeks. Has anyone had Ford reimburse them for a rental?
