Problems with Fuel Gauge

Fuel gauge on my Ford Explorer has completely stopped working. It no longer registers how much fuel is in the tank. The fuel gauge is stuck on full. Any suggestions? Any thoughts?

in my experience, when a fuel gauge goes to FULL and is stuck there it means a wiring problem (or connection problem) at the sender. either no ground or no connection to the gauge.
