I am the proud new owner of a:

1996 XLT
V8/ AWD
One owner Car
All records
81K miles

Car checked out fine in the Pre purchase inspection. What a car! Anyway, I have a question. There is only ( I hope) fault on the car, the turn signal.

Both directions (left and right) work if push to the lock position. However, the 'left' direction does not work at the first position; the change lane position.

Does this sound like a big problem to fix? I hate to spend the time and money to take it in for repair bacause it is functional.

Any DYI fixes?

Nice car man, what color? I dont think that turn signal issue is going to cost too much, sounds like its pretty minor

If I were to wager a guess is is contact related. See if you can get in side there with a little contact cleaner.

Welcome to the boards. Lots to learn and teach here. Don't be a stranger.

I will try this, thanks.

The color is green...not my first choice, but certainly not my last.

I am already learning. I thougt I would do my new ride a favir and put 91 octane in for the first few tanks. Not the case, turns out I am choking the engine. Oh well, back to the cheap stuff.
