Hi guys. The PS pump on my '91 is leaking from the shaft seal. In checking on reman PS pumps, I note that the parts houses also sell a rebuild kit. Is this worth doing, or should I just go ahead with a reman pump?

Seal kit is $15, reman pump is $50 or $60.

Thanks! Pete

reman. no hassles, just a swap out

x2 -- reman. The hassle rebuilding it (tools and time) is not worth it.

We looked at rebuilding one. Even had the seal kit. Still actually have it.

Dont even think about it. Just swap it out man.

Yep, put the whole pump on. You will also need a puller to pull the pulley off. Some parts houses will lend you one if you buy the pump from them.

Thanks guys. Will go with the reman pump and change out the hoses at the same time. Might stick one of those filters in there too. Thanks! Pete
