I just pulled the 8.8" rear from a 2000 Explorer, since it had a 3.73 Trac-Loc and rear disc brakes. Should I pull the brake proportioning valve also? I'm hoping to find a good Ranger body and slide this rear under it. along with a 351W/C6 combo for street cruising.
Anything else I should pull from the Explorer before I scrap it? It's a V6 auto AWD Explorer and its all there.

Just did this and a sas to my 94 ranger, you dont need the prop valve for the rear disc swap. you would want to keep the master cyl for the swap, or a least a core for a new explorer master.
