If I can make a suggestion, instead of trimming the inner fender wells you can use x-large black wire tires to pull the gap guards back and gain 2 or 3 inches of clearance for the tires. I'm positive you will rub. You can not see them at all if you put them in the right place. I should try and post pics of mine to clarify. I just think it looks better than cutting parts of it out to clear the tires. Can't wait to see your ride all complete.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what are black wire tires?
I may be alright though, The rims are 8" wide, 4 inch backspacing, -12mm offset.
and I'm going 2" lift in the rear, and 3" in the front.

HA! I meant to put wire ties. Some people call them zip ties. Found in the electrical section of any hardware store. I would be willing to bet that even with those rims you will rub. Maybe not but if they do this is a good alternative to cutting, it gave me the clearance I needed to clear the 285's. I guess I need spell check.

Haha, ok.
Yeah, I know what wire ties are.
If you have some pictures of exactly what you did that'd be great.

only to have my father in law explain that this spring compressor was only meant for sunfires and other little POS's.
So then we struggled to even get the stock spring back in the strut assembly, and finished the night off saying, hmmm. maybe you should call a shop that does springs to have these installed.

BAH!!, I'm so Pissed right now.
