I'm interested in moving to the OHV in place of the 4.0 SOHC in my 98 XLT, looking through the internet i get a massive mix of "yes it can, no it cant, its a pain, you have to swap the entire body harness with the engine harness etc.."
I would like to be able to retain the SOHC ECU/PCM so that the 5R55E can function as well as the interior fixings. Is it possible to run the OHV engine using the SOHC ECU, by just re-pinning the engine harness to match up with the SOHC ECU?
Any help is greatly appreciated i have a 2001 model OHV with low miles i can get for $500 so really wanting to jump on this soon providing its possible.
