Putting in an Overhead Console

I am putting in an overhead console in my 2000 Explorer Sport, what I need to know is where the Temp sensor gets its power and is it supposed to have something besides straight 12 volts to it.
I already have the sensor and the console and bracket.
Also where do they stick the sensor at in the front end of the truck.

The factory plug on mine sits directly in front of the radiator on the crossmember. It cames in from the driver side. I dont have it, but my sport is wired for it. (At least under the hood)
