- 96 Ranger XLT 4.0 Ext cab
My 96 Ranger 4.0 has an exhaust leak at the joint near the driver's manifold pipe. The bolts to the flange are going nowhere. I need to cut the bolts and go with a split flange to tighten the connection. Two questions:
1) is there such a thing as a gasket between the two flared ends? and 2) how well will it work to put the split flange on the manifold above where the EGR valve's pipe is going? This is going to not be easy since my right-angle grinder takes up a bit of real estate.
Thank you
