Will that box fit where my factory sub was? My opening doesn't look that big.

It will fit.

It is definitely bigger than the factory 8". It is a tight fit and uses every available millimeter though.

That's the exact setup I have -- and have had in 3 Explorers now. It's a very nice setup with a good amp -- and it doesn't compromise any cargo space....
