Hi can anyone please tell me if it is possible that a 1-2 flash code -which is for RPM Not Within Self Test Upper Limit - could be related to a failed rear abs speed sensor on a 95 Explorer XLT ?

I also have an issue where even at very slow speeds coming to a stop my ABS will kick and make a noise like a dying cow.

Thank you,

Doug

1) No. This code is about engine RPM, not road speed. Most likely cause is IAC (idle air controller next to the throttle body). You may try to clean it, but replacement is the real cure.
2) If you know for sure your rear ABS sensor is bad, why not replace it? They are inexpensive.

Thanks 1998Exp,

I have the sensor already. I will try to get a new IAC and gasket by wednesday. I'll post results.
