Question on Ford Navigation DVD's

From what I read. The new 2008 Ford Nav. DVD 6P version will NOT work on older Nav units? Is this true? I have 2006 EX with Nav. and want to get the 6P version.

This is definitely not true. I also have a 2006 and upgraded from the version 2P that came with it to 6P and everything works fine. Unfortunately though I can't tell much difference between the two and actually lost some POI that showed up on 2P but not on 6P.
