Hey everyone,
Currently I have my 4awg power wire w/ a ring terminal directly on the pos. battery post. Is this correct or should it be on the power distribution block?
Also, when doing the Big 3, or just getting a larger alternator for that matter, you are advised to run larger wire from the battery to the alt. Currently the alt. runs to the power distribution block, so when you run the larger wire do you run it directly to the pos. battery post or back to the power distribution block where it is currently run? It doesn't make much sense to run 4awg from alt. to power dist. block, when a smaller gauge is run stock from the power dist. block to the pos. battrey post.
I guess I'm mainly confused on how power is transferred from the battery and alt to the power dist. block and all the electrical in the car.
Thanks
