2005 Sport Trac XLT 4WD
Soon I am going to start working on my 2005 Sport Trac XLT brakes.
I haven't pulled the wheels yet, but from the outside they look/feel grooved.

I'm not going to turn the rotors down if they look bad, but instead buy new.
Any suggestion on which rotors I might purchase for my daily driver?

One suggestion given was if your going to do rotors you should replace the calipers. Haven't had any caliper issues so far. Seems unnecessary any thoughts?

Lastly when buying beak pads I see that some are ceramic pads.
Any pros and cons on which break pads to buy?
I do hate the black on the front wheels from the brake pads.

I use ceramic pads. Ceramic pads will keep your front wheels much cleaner. As far as rotors, I'd buy Wagner. If your calipers aren't leaking or sticking you can probably stay with your old ones for now. How many miles on them?

Be sure to check the brake pins/slides for wear. Replace them if worn, use blue thread locker, lube them with high-temp synthetic grease and torque the pins to spec. Also be sure to clean the new rotors with brake cleaner to get the rust preventative off them. I like to use brake quiet on the backs of the pads. It's also a good idea to replace/flush out your old brake fluid every 2 years.

Ditto to Koda2000. I used exclusive Wagner parts from Rock Auto. Great prices, and i felt it was an upgrade over OEM.
