This is my 2nd explorer but my 9th RBV. I bought it from an old man that was going to give to to charity but I talked him out of it and gave him the tax write off.

96 eb with under 100k 4x4, not a dent or scratch. Felt kinda bad messing with it.

After TT and shackles. New wheels

Then I talked a friend out of his 33s (knowing they weren't going to fit with my flairs)

I installed the 883 body lift. Then I dropped it off to paint. Sarahra tan from the new heeps...I mean jeeps

there you go!

looks good man i dig it, id throw some tint on the rear tail lights maybe. what size tires are on there now or are the they same ones on different rims?

Love that color!!!

Thanks bud. I posted the pics with my phone and it didn't work lol.

There 33x12.50x15 the chrome wheels came with the tires and the rubbed like crazy, when I did the body lift I put my black wheels back on. Plus the black looks 100x better

As soon as we get some sunshine in the sunshine state, I will paint my flairs and put them back on.

looks great bro...

:salute:

Do you have the 4.0 or 5.0? Mines a year newer, but the 4.0 threw a timing chain so I'm skeptical about replacing it. Thinking about swapping in the 5.0

certainly does, looks like the tires tuck themselves in a little better also

Agreed

It's a 4.0. My last ex was a 5.0 with 318k on it. I drove the snot out of it and it did great. It was my daily while I built my prerunner ranger. After it got done I let my mom drive the ex and she put another 20k on it and then I let her trade it in for a 2009 explorer

That is a neat color.

One of my requirements for my truck's build is the continued ability to park in the garage.

Ya... If I remove the roof rack I can get in. But my garage is really my dirtbikes home. Cars can stay outside.

I love the color. You'll have a lot of fun with it.

I want to get y'all's opinion on the explorer.

Should the flairs go back on? And if so what color. I was going to get it done today and I kept changing my mind.

I'd do them darker IMO like a cream

I ended up doing them in flat black. I have some pics I will post up soon. And some wheeling pics.

LOVE the color too. Out of curiosity, who did the paint job and how much was it? Researching a new coat for mine...

Believe it or not, econo did it. It's kinda like maaco if you have never heard of them. They had a 199.99 special for any car. I sanded down the truck and removed lights and flairs etc... It was 328.64 out the door. (100.00 color change fee) (75 for it being a truck/SUV)

I love it, no orange peel or chipping. They didn't do a great job on taping around the windows but I took care of all the over spray.
