The add a leaf that has come with the kit has much more arch to it than the regular pack. My question is, does this leaf need to be compressed and be flush with all the others? Compressing it more would be very difficult but I need to know if this how it needs to go. Thanks in advance!

Compressed add a leaf

Peking Man,

For a Rancho lift the answer is YES, the spring pack u-bolts should bring the center section of the entire pack, including the add a leaf, compressed togther flush. I have to think that's true for the other add a leafs too. I had to use a set of big old C-clamps to pull the leafs and the bottom plate together enough to get the nuts started on the U-bolts. I know it seems that this only adds about 3/4" (the thickness of the add a leaf ), but really the add a leaf, pulled in flush, will increase the arc on the entire pack enough to give you the lift you're supposed to have.

hey thanks. Yeah,it took 4 C clamps to clamp that sucker and slow, slow turning (not to mention patience!). Its all in now. Thanks again.
