Hey,

Today I got a thunderform enclosure for my 00 explorer. Since I purchased it used, all it came with was the speaker grille and the actual enclosure + sub.
Now looking at what it says on the crutchfield description, I do not have the following items from that list.
* 2 Pieces of polyester fiber batting (each 18" x 27" x 1")
* Self-adhesive foam rubber gasket (4 sections)
* 9 Self-tapping screws (length=1/2")
* 16 Self-tapping screws (length=3/4")
* 3 L-brackets
I figure the screws are for attaching a sub to it, but the one I have already has it, so no big deal. There also is some foam strips on it which I assume is the fiber batting or gasket.
What I want to know: Does anyone know what size brackets I need? I would like to get them before I take apart the side of the explorer.
Thanks

the brackets should be 1x1 or 1.5x1.5 . that should do fine

Ok, perfect. And is there a place to mount them or do I have to drill holes

you can just use self tapping screws. i put some sealer on the underside of the body around the screws to prevent rust issues
