Trying to replace my rack and pinion due to leaks. Currently it's not that bad in my opinion (a very slow leak) but a shop doing the state safety inspection wouldn't let it pass because of the leaks.
Question is: Is it necessary to remove the lower arm to remove the rack? I just don't want to buy new bolts for the lower arms which is a dealer only item. There is 1 large bolt,, 2 rear bolts and 1 bolt for the suspension.
Any tips would be helpful.
