I have a crack on the plastic upper tank of my radiator. It's starting to spray coolant over the front of the engine. I'm topping off the overflow bottle each morning for the past few days, until I can replace the rad. Of course this happens about 4 months after I replaced the plastic thermostat housing, couldn't all go bad at once.
So here's my questions:
- Should i use the Motorcraft replacement rad or is the Spectra Premium OK? Rock Auto prices not bad at all.
- Is there a specific size or p/n for the trans oil cooler line disconnect tool?
- Do new trans cooler fittings come with the new radiator or do i reuse the ones from the old radiator?
- Will I lose a lot of trans fluid when I pull the lines?
It's been about 20 years since I had to swap out a radiator, that one didn't have an integral trans cooler. That's the only thing that has me hesitating.
Thanks in advance for any answers, suggestions, and guidance!

I know its been a few months now and you probably have this sorted by now, but for those that end up here still looking,
