Radio/cassette problems.

I have a 1995 Explorer. I have XM Radio and am trying to hook it up in truck. When I insert the cassette adapter into cassette player the radio ejects it. Normal cassettes work so that's not the problem. Any ideas??? I do not have an owners manual.

It could very well be the problem. I tried 3 different cassette adapters in a bunch of my Ford vehicles, and sometimes the cassette mechanisms just don't like them. Sometimes they eject, sometimes they just keep switching from side 1 to side 2 endlessly...

Finally gave up and dropped in a Pioneer.

a lot of times of the radio senses a blak tape it ejects it, depending on the unit you have id use http://www.xm-radio-satellite.com/browseproducts/Delphi-XM-Radio-Wireless-FM-Modulator-SA10081.html when i had xm in my old '93 a while back i found it more reliable than a tape adapter, oddly enough i never got ANY INTERFERENCE with it even when i knew there was a station(usualy low power immigrant radio stations) on the same channel. if it helps i had a first gen skyfy modular unit

im using a tape adpater in mine. I had to take out the gear on the inside for it to work
