for the past few months, my ranger has had starting problems but its been worse lately. when i first turn the key, it sounds like its about to start up, but it dies very quickly. then all the times i try after that, it just keeps turning over but doesnt start running. sometimes, after letting it sit a full hour, it will then start. it hasnt been all the time, but it has been very random when it does it. ive already put a new interstate battery, a new fpr, a new mafs, a new air filter, and a new fuel filter. the starter and the battery arent the problem, so my guess is that is has something to do with fuel. other than that im completely stumped. anybody else had this problem?

Fuel, Air, Spark if one of those is missing you aint goin no where...

Check the basics

Airbox stuffed up?

Fuel Filter?

Spark from the plug wires?

Does it smell like gas after cranking?

the air filter, the fuel filter, and spark plugs are all fine. i forgot to mention the new plugs and wires, too. they were replaced when everything else was. i didnt smell any gas when i was cranking it, but i could be wrong. next time i does it i'll smell for gas and then post.

In addition, I'd put a fuel pressure gauge on it so that you can see what the fuel system is doing the next time it does it.
