Ranger bumper on a Gen II

I was wondering if the front bumper mounts from a 93-96 ranger were similiar to the mounts for a Gen II? I was thinking about getting a TJM bumper made for the early 90's ranger and throwing it on my '99 as long as there were no major differences such as a greater distance bewteen the frame rails or over all width of the vehicle.

taxx did it on his old x.....if i remember right he had to cut the explorer frame ends off and then weld the ranger mounting brackets on to get it to work, but other than taht tahts how it went...search around, i know there are some threads on it.

I did it. Had to cut off the factory mounts, weld the ends of the frame rails where the mounts were and then weld on the TJM brackets. I bought one of the TJM blems and saved $200. I never did find a defect. See my pic's.
