Stop the presses, folks...Ford done went and did something good...no, pretty damned great!
Been reading up on the new Ranger FX4...can you say "MANUAL TRANSFER CASE"?!? I was excited about the rest of it, too (31x10.5 BFG AT KO's with 15" forged aluminum Alcoa wheels, manual tranny, Torsen L/S rear diff with 4.10 ratio, tow hooks front AND rear, etc.), but I was still hung up on the electric t-case (no, I didn't even think twice about the Inferior Front Suspension...we don't expect miracles, do we?)...at least until I found an article on Off-Road.com that included an actual picture of the t-case shift lever...they probably figured we'd never believe it otherwise!
Am I rooting for a snowball in hell when I say how awesome an FX4 off-road package would be on an Explorer Sport? Could an FX4 Explorer Sport be the reincarnated Bronco we keep hearing different stories about?
Needless to say, I am very pleasantly shocked that Ford actually brought this truck out...thank you (FINALLY!), and keep the trend rolling...you may just keep me bleeding Ford Blue yet!
