I don't exactly like the somewhat small mirrors on my '01 explorer. I like the look of the more square shaped mirrors on new explorers and rangers and they offer a wider view range around me.
Does anybody happen to know if the mirrors from 4th gen explorers or the mirrors from the current rangers fit a 2nd gen explorer?
I know 3rd gen and 4th gen mirrors are interchangeable. It also appears that the mirrors from 2nd and 3rd gen explorers are the same, but I'm not 100% sure. If any of them would fit, I'd probably expect the ranger mirrors to fit because the body design of the current rangers seem to mirror that of 2nd gen explorers.
If any of these mirrors don't fit, would anybody recommend a company that makes larger replacement mirrors that fit 2nd gen explorers?, but not any of those slide on mirrors for towing. Thanks
