RAP module yanked out

Hi, gave up on the rap module 30 minutes ago. Spent 3 days and nights and still don't work. I'm going out tomorrow to buy a simple keyless entry system. I've read it easier to hook up to the cargo area for the power door lock, would I still need relays for it? Thanks!

I gave up on mine when I bought the truck!!!

Hell I got tired of looking for it since it didn't exist anyway....My 99 Sport didn't have that capability so I used a keyless entry from Parts Express and never looked back...

On the 99 Explorer, the door lock relays are negative-pulsed so I tied into the door lock/unlock wires at the drivers side a-pillar...

It was really quite easy...

You could pick one up used for about $25. Mine started acting up and that's what I did. Works fine now. No experience here on putting on an aftermarket unit though, sorry.
