I have 1998 Explorer 5.0L 2WD. The truck has developed a rattle or knock coming from the driver side front wheel. It happens anytime the vehicle is moving, worse with bumps, etc. I can feel it a little bit through the steering wheel. It sounds almost exactly like a bad CV joint but since it is 2WD this doesn't make any sense. Anyone have any ideas? I appreciate it!!

Probably your brake caliper or one of your retaining clips is broken on a pad. That was the problem with mine.

I thought about that because I had a 1995 Mustang that had that problem. The only problem is that the Ford dealership did a complete brake job a few months ago. The rattle was there before that although less and is geeting worse now. Thanks for input.
