rattling noise annoying

Hi everybody my name is April. There is this noise coming from my 2004 Ford explorer. When I first start in the morning it's not there but after about 15 minutes it starts. At first it's more of a quiet noise then gets louder. It's like a rattling noise or like clacking it's so annoying. Any suggestions??

Does it seem to be coming from under the vehicle or from the engine compartment? Does the noise speed up and slow down with the car, or is it intermittent? So hard to diagnose a problem like this online. It's really a process of elimination.
