i did an LED dome conversion... they could be much brighter though cuz i just bought 2 plug-and-play boards... if u make ur own with some bigger LEDs it could be brighter... i put some large ones in the reverse lights and theyre very bright
well these are plug-and-play, meaning they were already made to fit in the stock spot... i ordered a pack of 50 10mm LEDs off ebay and made two 9-LED boards for my reverse lights and i would strongly suggest rigging up a small board for the interior if u want intense, white light... my reverse lights r pretty bright
come up with a formation of a board ud like to make and plug it into this calculator deal... itll tell u which resistors to buy... btw car voltage is standard 12V
Now, what happens if you're driving down the street at night and you need to turn on the overhead interior lights? Will you be able to see out the windows safely? Check it out before you install... make sure you don't blind yourself temporarily. What wattage are you talking about?

yea well the place i installed them is in the center, rather than the sides where the light would point directly at u... im talking about a standard 12V car battery
yea but theres a little more involved there... ur blinkers may blink fast thinking u have a light out since LEDs use less current... but if u get the right resistor, it should work just fine
