Anyone know offhand how to remove the rear brake line on a Rabs, the rubber part? I am thinking of getting some stainless lines built by a guy here in town, quoted me $21 a line for clear jacketed stainless lines, with 3 inches for lift.
I checked my Chilton, nothing about the rear line.

I don't think it's especially complicated-- just unbolt it from the steel lines and brackets, bolt in the new one and bleed the brakes.

Obviously stuff can go wrong-- like if the steel brake lines are corroded and break, or the fittings get rounded.

You may want to take a good look at that rear steel line attached to the body-- mine rusted through just where it connects to the rubber line and left me on the side of the road without brakes.

Thanks, I looked today and it looks pretty easy to remove. I did check the lines and they are in perfect shape, this has always been a New Mexico/ Texas truck, zero rust, which is nice when it comes to working on it.
