My left rear brake seems to be squeaking a good deal lately. If I look at the pads through the wheel rim, it looks like there is still "meat" on the pads.

Any tips for how I can tell if the squeak is from the pads or maybe from the e-brake shoe?

Is there an e-brake shoe on both rear wheels or just one? which one?

The ebrake shoes are on both sides, and are PITA to change. Make sure you have brake tools, or at least set of few pliers different sizes. I had them both apart when changing rear bearings. I could have the whole knuckle out in 20 minutes but the freakin ebrake would take me 30 minutes to put together. Maybe it's just me or I dd not have right tools. Not every store has the shoes.

What lead you to replace the parking brake shoes?
