I am using the Ford Racing M2300-G rear disk conversion kit on my Sport Trac. But there are 3 items that are not found in my Ford service manual in the rear disk exploded diagram. Can anyone tell me what these would be used for? I know this kit works for the 8.8 and the 9" axles.

(Edit) The new kits comes with lock nuts and special bolts that mount the new brakes to the axle. As shown in the pic. Note not my truck..

Thanks,
Chad

The ring will be a centering ring if you don't have the 31 spline Big bearing axle ends (used for 28 spline)

The extra bolts are if you have clearance issues on the back side of the mounting flange and you need to use the t-bolt.

Hope that helps clear things up.

Just curious what did that conversion run you? and where did you get it from

You have to order the Ford Racing kit from an authorized dealer. The best price I found was Gene evans ford or GEFracing.com they have them for 320.00 but they only order from Ford Racing once a week to save shipping fees.
