I ended up with a rear end to a hull size bronco. Its an 88 bronco. What axle is this and will it work with a full width axle swap on the 94 xlt. I thought it would be a 9" but it doesn't have a 3rd member. Im a bit lost and want to start gathering the parts for the sas. Any thoughts?

It is a fullsize 8.8, 31 spline just like the Explorer only wider.

Thats what I figured. Thanks

what gearing?

Well can I use this axle for a full width swap. What are the cons of using it besides it being a bit weaker. I see that stic-o used one. would a 44 match the same length.

the ful widht 44 is like 66 inches wms the 8.8 is65.5 inches...

Stic-o also has a D44 so it would be the same swap as he did. The best part about the full width 8.8 is if you have gears and a locker already, you can just throw 'em in there.

alright thatnks for the help. Thats the axle ill be using then...since it was free.
