rear hatch chime going off

just got my 2013 explorer xlt picked it up about 3 months ago and the rear hatch light keeps coming on when i go over bumps what can I do yo get it to stop going off

Welcome to the Forum ajw1275. :wavey:
If you have confirmed that the latch is actually full closed and locked then I would guess you may have a problem with the switch. Looks like a dealer visit unless another member can suggest a cure. A loose ground wire?
Can you duplicate the issue by trying to move the latch without actually opening it ?

all the interior and exterior lights are off and yes its closed all the way
