didn't know where to post so i put it here.
for a while now the rear hatch window on my 98 sport wouldn't open very eaisly, so i decided to find out why. i started by literly having to jerk the window open, then was able to take the inside panel off. with the panel removed i was able to examine how the latch worked, and found an easy fix. all i had to do was loosen the two nuts holding the latch on (dont remove, just loosen enough to be able to slide latch) then slide the latch toward the window. dont slide it too much, just enough to where it will release the latch. the way i found out how much was enough was engage the latch, then press the button. i repeated the process until the button released the latch. then tighten the two nuts back down. i then put everything back together and it works like new.
