I have a rattle coming from the rear passenger wheel on somewhat rough roads? My dad was driving and i was in the rear seat and could hear it at 25-30 mph. When my dad put on the brakes the rattle stopped? Im thinking it not suspension related.... Maybe has to do with the brakes....Its a 2010 with 23k on it

Thanks for any help or advice!!!!!

I highlighted, Underlined, and italicized the clue with in your question for a reason. If a noise goes away when you are doing something that's a clue to the area you need to look at! In this case I suggest you look at the brakes as that would be the most likely cause of the noise. I would think your pads are rattling around!

Do they have anti rattle clips on the 4th gens for the rear?

Yes and they are available separately from your local auto parts store.

Are these the anti rattle clips? (front wheel)
I have them on my 2007 Explorer, but the pads still rattle.
I think, the more the pads are worn, the more they will rattle.
As far as I know, there is a TSB that explains how to get rid of the problem.

First pic is of rear brake....with no clip on top of caliper
Second pic....has clip but on the bottom of caliper

My question should there be 2 clips top and bottom of calipers?

I found the link to the FORD TSB pdf-file.

As cheap as the anti rattle clips are and as easy as they are to replace, I suggest you follow the pdf. Remove the old one clean the caliper and install the new ones! I did it to mine when my pads were making a rattle sound!

Update..... Since my X was still under warranty they did the TSB...no more rattle.
