My shocks are too short. Can anyone with a 2.5" or 4" lift tell me what length their rear shocks are? Or even better a part number (doesn't matter what brand).

Paul,
Here are the legths you want for a 2.5" James duff lift.

Front shocks: 12.625" compressed 19.75" fully extended

Rear Shocks: 16" compressed 26.75" fully extended

I pick my rs9000 shocks friday and I can tell you want part numbers they ordered for me.

I know the James duff model number for rear shocks for 2.5" lift is 8115 if that helps.

Paul,

I presently have a 4" Superlift and the specs for the rear Superlift shocks are:

#85151 30.07" Extended
17.70" Collapsed

Upper mount BP8
Lower mount EB1

If you can get a hold of a Superlift catalog, they list this info on page 79.

I am not using the Superlift shocks though, I went with Rancho RS9000's. The specs and model numbers for these are:

#9005 29.30" Extended Length
17.22" Collapsed Length
Upper mount ES27
Lower mount EB4

The problem with these is that you have to insert your own bar pin in the top mount and put an insert sleeve into the bottom mount. Sounds complicated but it is not. The guys at my 4x4 shop did it for me.

You can get all the Rancho shock specs on their website: www.gorancho.com

How are those 9005 holding up? I put on the trailmaster SSV for my 4" rear but they busted. Do u think the bar pin would fit with the ranchos? Also, what do u mean by sleeve?
