rear wiper help?

I'm hoping you guys can help. I've been trying to remove the rear wiper on my x, but with no result. I did try prying and pushing on that damn clip, but all that did is pop it out (and after it hit the floor, I couldn't find it). Am I stuck cutting this thing off, or is there something I'm missing?

Also, any explanations why the rear wiper doesn't move, and the fluid doesn't spray. I'm gonna tear into it more this weekend, but any help you guys could give would be much appreciated. Thanks.
