Rebuilt VB 5R55E is this a good idea

Hello again. I posted before that wife`s 98 4WD 4.0 sohc transmission has a 2/3 flare and NO codes. It was replaced by Ford under warranty about 5 years ago and has about 60K miles on it. I am going to buy a rebuilt valve body with the upgrades and tested solenoids and have a local mechanic change the filter and fluid and install the vb. I do have manual low engine braking. Any advice will be welcomed. One man said that a rebuilt vb cured his transmission problems. Thanks Pete

Welcome to this forum! Replace the EPC solenoid, valve body gaskets, boost valve, and end plugs. Sonnax makes a boost valve, and end plugs with O rings. You could get bonded separator plates instead of replacing the gaskets.
