So, i just got a 00 xlt with just the am/fm tape deck, in reading the reference post it says that my year has no external amp....<which would be located in the rear cargo area if i had one> and that the amp is integrated into the factory head unit. my 96 xlt did have one but i also had the 6 disc changer. i'm just trying to get a good idea of what i need to plan for as far as installing a new HU and subs, and i want to know if i have to bypas the factory amp if i have one.....
