Hello all,

I bought a 96 EB Ex without the keyless remote. I ordered one from keyless-remote.com. Going by their instructions it said to find the "jumper point" in the back left panel near the rear washer fluid container. I could not find it and the "turn the ignition on and off" thing did not work either. It would go into programming mode but when I pushed the remote button, nothing happened.

I informed the company and they sent me a replacement remote at no charge. When I got the replacement I attempted to program the new one and it worked! However, when I came out the next day and tried to unlock the doors, it would not work at all. I tried programming it again and it worked again. But when I tried to lock and unlock the doors a few minutes later it would do nothing.

My question is: What can I check to make sure everything is working correctly? It seems that there is a loose connection or something to cause it to intermittently work.

Any help would be appreciated.

In my opinion, it may be easier to just install an aftermarket keyless entry system. That would take out all of the trouble shooting. You can get a viper keyless entry for about $60 on Amazon.com

Contact the company again and let them know what is happening. I would guess that there is a step missing in their proceedure.
