Okay, first let me say I tried to search for this first, but the search does not work for one reason or another.

My problem.

I have a remote oil filter in my Exploder for about 8 months now.

If I connect the oil lines like they are supposed to be, my oil pressure gauge registers pressure, but it sounds like there is no oil going to the valve train. It is noisy as hell until you rev the engine.

If I reverse the hoses, the oil pressure gauge does not show any pressure, yet the engine runs smooth with no noise.

Do you have any ideas at all?

put it the way FORDs oil pressure guages for the most part are fake.... mine still registers pressure with a hole in the side of my block..go figure:rolleyes:

No reply's? I must have a odd ball rig huh? It is hard to imagine nobody out there has had this type of problem.

Maybey you divert pressure away from the pressure sending unit when you think you are actually getting pressure, and when you go the other way, you back up pressure on it again when the oil cant flow past the filter valve? I dont know how your setup works though..
