Remote Start Problem

Greetings. I just became a proud owner of a 2007 Sport Trac, and am loving it. I am still figuring out a lot of its bells and whistles, but it appears to have an after market remote start (the FOB does not have "FORD" on it, or any other brand name). The lock/unlock functions work on it, as does the panic button. When I hit the remote start button the lights will flash and the dash board lights up, but the engine will not crank. I have tried putting a chip key in the ignition even when attempting the FOB but with same results.
Any ideas?

Could be a lot of things. Depends on what kind of remote start it is. A guy would need to find the installation manual for it and then make sure it is all wired in correctly and the bypass module is installed.
